LAN Server

Multiplayer is the server-based version of the game that, as the name would suggest, enables multiple players to interact with each other on a single world. Players can work with others to create structures, mine and fight with each other.

Types of Multiplayer

A LAN server with three people.

There are two ways to play multiplayer.

  • You can join a local area network (LAN Server)
  • Or by connecting to external servers.

A local world can fit up to 5 people who have joined the same Internet address. To join a local world, first, you and your friend must join the same Wi-Fi network. Next, one of you turns on a world that they have. The other person must join the world with blue lettering and a Wi-Fi symbol next to it. It will say: Remote world by {username}.

An external server, however, can fit more people than a LAN server. It can be modified with server plugins and mods. To join an external server, go to your world selection, tap "Edit", then tap "External". You will see that you can fill in three slots to join: the name, IP Address and Port. The Port and IP is the most vital information to join an external server and can be case-sensitive. After you're done, click "Add Server", and it will appear at the top of your world selection menu. Click on said server to connect.
